This little gem replaced 4 apps on my iPad. I can read documents, connect to Dropbox, access my personal web site to download my own music collection (or pictures, files, etc) on demand, access my files over 3G and wifi... Its really cool. FYI, I use a simple web server called hfs which allows me to download complete directories in .tar format, once downloaded by Filer I can unzip them to my iPad. Background music player works great too. Playlist and random play mode would be great in the future. 5 star app!

I love it! I can download music from any websites without having to use my computer or iTunes its awesome.

I have been looking for a way to download items directly from the web and synch them with my dropbox for quite a while now; and this app does it great! What is nice is it lets me download pdfs items from incompatible with iPad sites like some versions of blackboard. As well a nice feature is you can actually download screenshots (copies) of the website you are on for offline viewing. This app replaced about 3 other apps I had that were inadequate at doing the job. If you need something to download stuff directly from the internet, and either view it within the downloaded app or an external app, this will work wonders for you!

This app is great for downloading torrent using zbigz. Last night it was working fine but up until 3am I try to open the app and it just flash and am back on my home screen. I would give it 5 if there is an update fix.

Worked for one day. Now it crashes after opening. No response from developer using his preferred contact method. Cant use app currently.

アップデートしたら PasscodeLock と FTP/HTTP Sharing が使えなくなって甚だ不便。 サポートにメールしたが連絡もありません。。。

Downloading multiple files in background would be nice. Playing downloaded MKV and other types has failed which really disappointed me. I wish wed play them via external applications or just send them to computers etc..

With the app you can download any file from the Web, share it directly or via Dropbox. What i really like is the possibility to open specific file with an external viewer/editor installed on your iPad, e.g. Quickoffice, Goodreader, Pages, etc. Only user interface could be a little more friendly.

crash on start

How can I upload files with browser? Or I cant? Upload buttons are gray and dont active.

What bout the update? After 4.0 os there are some problems with the video reproduction. I know that these are known issues, but were still waiting. Thank you.

I wish I would have read the most resent reviews before I purchased. Waisted 2 hrs trying to DL and nothing but a crashing app. I will request a refund! The developer should fix the bugs a sap or take the app down before they rip more people off.

Have used this for several years. It WAS awesome. Now it wont download, cant add folders, and crashes. Dont waste your money.

This is a message to the developers of the Filer App. You know its crashing everytime the download is completed, WHERE IS THE UPDATE? Its stealing from the costumers when your app DOESNT DO ANYTHING!!!!!

All it does is crash. Cant browse, cant download. Wonder if all other reviews were a scam. I want my money back. So mad I wasted my hard earned dollar,on this

Ive used a bunch of other alternate web browsers to download with often corrupt results. This has become the go-to for OTA wifi file transfer. I wish the developer had kept at the rate of updates he was at initially, it could have gone a long way..

One of the annoyances of the iPhone was not being able to download files—having to download them to a desktop/laptop and then transfer them to the phone for storage was a pain. But this app makes it so easy to download and store files. Dropbox integration works great, so you can even download something you come across on your phone and then upload it so you can access it on another computer without having to bring a cable in the interim. I was waiting to buy this until it updated for the iPhone 5, and now that it has I finally decided to. The only thing that would make it better would be a better built-in music player (right now you have to transfer to a 3rd party app or use "quick look"). Ideally youd be able to transfer it to your iTunes library on the device, but Apple doesnt seem to want to support that; its hardly something the dev can fix. A built-in music player would be a nice workaround for small audio files though. Otherwise its a great, solid app.

It just does not work on my ipad 4. Fix it please

Earlier versions had less bugs. Videos keep loading but doesnt play. Title gets cut off. Slide shows keep buffering before each picture is shown. Disappointed
